Daniel Gavron

Born in London in 1935, Daniel Gavron immigrated to Israel in 1961, living in a kibbutz, a moshav, and the desert town of Arad before moving to the Jerusalem area in 1971. He worked as a reporter for Israel Radio, becoming head of English News. Subsequently he joined the Jerusalem Post, as a feature writer.

Gavron has written pieces for the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Commentary, National Jewish Monthly, and Ariel. His broadcasts have been heard on the BBC, CBC, National Public Radio, Radio Telefis Eirrean, and others.

A member of the team that founded Palestine-Israel Journal, Gavron is also the author of The End of Days, Walking Through Israel, Israel After Begin, Peace Pays, Saul Adler, The Kibbutz: Awakening From Utopia, and Pilgrims'.

The father of three grown-up children, he currently lives near Jerusalem with his wife of forty-six years and his dog.
